Tools You Will Need
- Pool Plaster Disc
- 7″ Hook & Loop Backer Pad (AG7529)
- Variable-Speed Polisher/Sander (max 3,500 RPM)
- Garden Hose & GFCI (if electric)
Pick the Right Disc for the Job
- 50 Grit — Heavy Removal: Very rough plaster, scale, sharp edges
- 70 Grit — Medium Smoothing: Moderate roughness, often “smooth enough” for pools
- 120 Grit — Fine Finish: Slick, polished finish — preferred in spas
Simple Two-Step Process

Step 1 — Smooth
Use 50 or 70 grit discs. Work in 5′×5′ sections, keep pad flat, and rinse/vacuum dust to manage heat. -
Step 2 — Polish
Finish with 120 grit disc for a slick, spa-level smoothness. -
Result — Smooth & Comfortable
Leaves an even texture that’s gentle on skin and swimsuits.
