How to Store Compressed Grout Sponges

Our grout sponges are compressed for bulk packaging and shipping. After the sponges are removed from the packaging, they may take up to 72 hours to return to approximately their original size when stored at temperatures above 70°F. Cooler temperatures may slow the expansion process.

If a sponge is needed immediately, submerge it in water. The sponge should expand and return close to its original size within a few minutes.

For best results, remove grout sponges from their packaging after delivery and allow air to circulate around them. For longer-term storage, keep the sponges in a large drum, container, or bag with an opening that allows adequate airflow.

These professional sponges are designed for grout cleanup, concrete finishing, pool plaster work, and other contractor applications.
